Literacy Day 2011

Robert Paul Ocker, a Professional School Counselor from Wisconsin Public Schools and contributing author to The Indigo Children (www.indigochild.com) was the Keynote Speaker for the 9th Annual Literacy and Learning Day conference.  Held on April 9th, 2011 at Grant MacEwan University, City Center Campus, this unique professional development event for parents, grandparents and caregivers provided tools, skills and resources designed to assist almost 500 attendees in almost every facet of our childrens' lives. In addition to the two break-out workshops offered by Robert Ocker, 40 volunteer educators and professionals provided their expertise and experiences in 40 highly regarded and appreciated workshops.

This FREE TO ATTEND conference is organized entirely by volunteers, and paid for through donations from organizations and individuals in the Edmonton community.  Please see our comprehensive list of sponsors and donors on our Acknowledgments page.
