The Literacy and Learning Day Society of Edmonton endeavours to conduct the affairs of the Society with transparency and integrity. Any and all personal information collected will be used only for the stated intention, and will be stored securely.

1. Collection of Personal Information:
The Society will collect personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by those wishing to become members of the Society or attend our Conference. The information provided is used to fulfill specific requests. This information is only used to fulfill those specific requests, unless given permission to use it in another manner.

2. Distribution of Information:
The Society may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting in fraud prevention or investigation, or as required by law for any reason. It may do so when: (1) required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these organizations for marketing purposes. The Society will allow for an individual or organization to opt out of receiving communications.

3. Commitment to Data Security:
All personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized volunteers, employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
